American Censorship? Do we want to risk it?

Do we want our sites to be censored? Do we want to risk:

" Website Blocking

The government can order service providers to block websites for infringing links posted by any users.

Risk of Jail for Ordinary Users

It becomes a felony with a potential 5 year sentence to stream a copyrighted work that would cost more than $2,500 to license, even if you are a totally noncommercial user, e.g. singing a pop song on Facebook.

Chaos for the Internet

Thousands of sites that are legal under the DMCA would face new legal threats. People trying to keep the internet more secure wouldn't be able to rely on the integrity of the DNS system." - americancensorship.org

Well, as of now they have toned it down a lot and it is a lot better. So, thanks everyone. Also, @YEP, you couldn't have a coke can in the background of a you-tube video without being sued (but as I said it has changed.).

A ghost site is a Web site that is no longer maintained but that remains available for viewing. Since many sites don't identify their date of last update, it's not always easy to tell whether a site is a ghost site or just resting. A ghost site is not to be confused with a retired or invisible site (one which doesn't exist anymore and results in a "Not found" message). It's possible to have a ghost site that continues to be useful or appealing because its content doesn't date easily.

Wait! are you saying this is a ghost site.......Ghost1 No but I knew you would say that....Ghost2......Then why are you doing this, don't you see the world will end if you spam a little bit on this site.......Ghost1 Because this site is almost empty, this shouldn't just be a support site but also a place where Web users can talk to one another and argue about useless matters and frankley without that this site will keep going down hill......Ghost2 OHHHHH, okay I get what you mean, but you do realize this doesn't change anything the royal guards shall still stop you and everything will with as usuall......Ghost1 Yeah I know but I had to try.......
